Printed Image Is Significantly Lighter than the Image That Appears on the Screen (822782)

SYMPTOMSWhen you print a picture (image) in Microsoft Picture It! Publishing Platinum 2002 version 1.0, the picture may print significantly lighter than what appears on your computer screen.CAUSEThis problem may occur if you print by using an Image Color Matching (ICM) profile with your printer.
This problem has been reported to occur with the Epson Stylus Color 670 printer.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, remove the ICM profile from your printer when you print in Picture It! Publishing Platinum 2002 version 1.0. To remove the ICM color profile for your printer, follow these steps: - Quit Picture It! Publishing Platinum 2002 version 1.0.
- Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click your printer, and then click Properties.
- On the Color Management tab, click your installed color profile, and then click Remove.
- Click OK to close the Printer Properties dialog box.
Note Removing the ICM color profile for your printer may have an adverse effect when you print from other Microsoft Windows programs. STATUS
