Hebrew Channel Names Are Garbled in the PageCopy and the PageMove Destination Channel Dialog Boxes (822719)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Content Management Server 2002
  • Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 SP1

SYMPTOMS

When a page is copied or moved to a channel with a display name that contains Hebrew characters, the channel name is changed to garbled characters in the SelectionFrame.aspx frame of the destination channel dialog box. However, the name in the TreeFrame.aspx frame is shown correctly.

CAUSE

The channel name turns into garbled characters because the wrong character set encoding methods are used when the display name is passed between frames.
