"ISA Server Enterprise Initialization Tool" Error Message When You Try to Remove ISA Server Enterprise Initialization Objects from Active Directory (822627)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000, when used with:
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server SP4
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003, Premium Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Msisaent.exe utility to remove Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server enterprise initialization objects (schema) from Microsoft Active Directory directory services, you may receive the following error message:
ISA Server Enterprise Initialization Tool - Error

You must be a member of Enterprise Administrators group to perform this operation. The program will now exit.
Because you are already logged on as a member of the Enterprise Administrators group, you expect to be prompted to remove the ISA Server enterprise objects.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you use the Msiasaent.exe program from a German edition, Spanish edition, or French edition of ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, if you are already logged on as a member of the Enterprise Administrators group, run the English (US) version of the Msisaent.exe utility to remove the ISA Server 2000 enterprise objects from Active Directory.

Note The Msisaent.exe utility is located in the Isa\i386 folder on the ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition CD-ROM.
