FIX: The COM+ QC Dead Letter Queue Listener does not start when you run Message Queuing in Workgroup mode on a Windows 2000-based computer (822533)

    • the operating system: Microsoft Windows 2000

SYMPTOMS

When you use Component Services on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, you cannot start the Microsoft COM+ Queued Component (QC) Dead Letter Queue Listener when you are in Microsoft Message Queuing (also known as MSMQ) Workgroup mode.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the machine GUID does not exist when you run MSMQ in Workgroup mode.

RESOLUTION
