The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Pocket PC 2002
- Microsoft Windows Powered Pocket PC 2003
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to delete or to copy a large file on a Microsoft Pocket PC 2002-based device or a Microsoft Windows Powered Pocket PC 2003-based device, the process
may fail. A zero-byte file may be created.CAUSEThis behavior occurs if the copy process or the delete process takes
longer than the auto power-off time limit for the device. If the copy process takes longer
than the auto power-off time limit, the delete operation or the copy operation fails. A file is created that has zero bytes. WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, copy large files directly
to the memory card by using a card reader instead of by using the mobile device.STATUS This
behavior is by design.
