Money2002: Error Message: "Unable to Initialize Required Money Component" (822391)

Unable to initialize required Money component CAUSEThis behavior occurs if the installation of Money is damaged.RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. To resolve this behavior, you must remove the Money folders and registry keys, and then reinstall Money. Quit All Running Programs- Restart your computer, and then log on as Administrator.
- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Task Manager.
- In the list of running programs, click a program, and then click End Task.
- Repeat step 3 until you have quit each program.
Display Hidden Files- On the desktop, double-click My Computer.
- On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
- Click the View tab.
- In the Advanced Settings list, click Show hidden files and folders.
- Click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
Remove MoneyNote
Make a backup of your Money data files before you follow these steps. - Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Microsoft Money, and then click Remove.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the removal process.
- Repeat steps 3 through 4 to remove any programs that are associated with Money (Microsoft Money System Pack or a previous version of Money).
- Close Control Panel.
Delete Money Folders- Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
- Locate the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Money - Right-click the folder, and then click Delete.
When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes. - Repeat steps 2 through 3 to delete the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money - Quit Windows Explorer.
Delete Associated Registry Keys- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Money - Right-click the key, and then click Delete.
When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes. - Repeat steps 3 through 4 to delete the following registry keys:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Money
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Money System Pack
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Money
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Money
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MoneySide
- Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.
Install Money- Insert your Money CD-ROM.
If the installation process does not start automatically, continue to follow these steps: - Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- In the left pane, click Add New Programs.
- In the right pane, click CD or Floppy.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the installation process.
- Restart your computer.
