FIX: The Remote Access Server Does Not Initialize Some Modems to Receive Calls (822251)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2

SYMPTOMS

A modem that the Remote Access Service (RAS) server uses does not answer incoming calls.

CAUSE

The RAS server sends initialization commands to the modem with no delay between commands. However, because some modems cannot process commands when no delay occurs between commands, some modems do not initialize. Therefore, the modem does not answer the incoming call.
