FIX: The Visual Basic .NET Upgrade Wizard stops responding when you try to upgrade Visual Basic 6.0 projects (820666)

    • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002), Enterprise Architect Edition
    • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002), Enterprise Developer Edition
    • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002), Professional Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade Microsoft Visual Basic 6 projects that reference the InputMan third-party ActiveX control or the True DB Grid ActiveX control, the Visual Basic Upgrade Wizard (VBUpgrade.exe) stops responding.

Note You can upgrade Visual Basic 6.0 projects to Visual Basic .NET by using VBUpgrade.exe.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

Hotfix information


The Japanese version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
