FIX: TA1 Interchange Acknowledgement Is Generated in Unicode Encoding (818960)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server Accelerator for HIPAA 2.0

SYMPTOMS

When you set up a transaction between two trading partners, you can set the transaction to require TA1 interchange acknowledgement. However, the BizTalk Server Accelerator for HIPAA generates the TA1 interchange acknowledgement in Unicode encoding. Because it is in Unicode encoding, it may not be recognized by other Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) implementations.
