File Is Not Found When You Search for a File That Contains an Accented Character (818651)

SYMPTOMSWhen you run a search for a file that
contains a word with an accented character (such as "Louis Piché"), the file may not be found.
Note To search for a file on a Windows 2000-based system, click
Start, point to Search, and then click
Documents (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.).CAUSEThis problem may occur if the accented character is
contained in either the file name or anywhere in the document. To search the document text, click Use advanced search options.RESOLUTIONHotfix InformationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To
find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time
Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
