Excel.exe <appversion> Mso.dll <modversion> 0001abe1 where appversion is a number equal to
or greater than 11.0.4290.5 and modversion is a
number equal to or greater than 11.0.4920.5. SYMPTOMSWhen you try to open a file in Microsoft Excel 2003 Beta 2
that does not have a three letter extension (for example, .xls), Excel stops
responding and you may receive following error message: Microsoft Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience.
