This Support WebCast provides information about customizing home screens on Smartphone 2002. It also discusses the relationships between layouts, color schemes, and background images. The WebCast gives more details about the plug-ins included with Smartphone 2002. It will discuss how to write your own custom plug-ins to display data on home screens. The WebCast will cover all this and more in a technical presentation followed by a live Q&A session.

This is a Level 200 session that will be presented by Neil Enns, Kevin Kennedy and Matthew Baker.

Neil Enns is a Lead Program Manager and has worked in the Mobile Devices Product Group at Microsoft for the last five years. He started on Handheld PC and most recently spent three years on the Smartphone team designing many of the Smartphone 2002 programs. Before joining Microsoft, he completed a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Human Computer Interaction.

Kevin Kennedy is a Software Design Engineer and was responsible for the software design and development of the home screen and many of the new phone programs on the Smartphone 2002 platform. He has more that eight years experience developing Microsoft products including Windows 95, Outlook, Handheld PC, and Smartphone. Kevin holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Computer Science.

Matthew Baker is a Software Design Engineer in Test and has worked in the Mobile Devices Product Group at Microsoft for the last three years. He started on Smartphone testing the home screen, performance, and various other components. He currently is working on messaging extensibility for third-party developers. Before joining Microsoft he completed a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
