XL2002: AutoShapes Overlap Indented Text in Workbook (817437)

SYMPTOMS

If you insert an AutoShape in the same cell as indented text, the AutoShape may overlap the text when you print or print preview the workbook.

CAUSE

Microsoft Excel is not a "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) program. When you print or print preview an Excel workbook that contains AutoShapes, the placement of the AutoShapes is calculated according to the default printer driver you have installed. As a result, the AutoShape may overlap text in a cell.

WORKAROUND

There is no known workaround to this behavior.
