XL: The Excel Chart Prints with Jagged Edges and a Different Font (817363)

SYMPTOMSWhen you print a Microsoft Word document that contains a Microsoft Excel chart, the font of the Excel chart text may change, and the lines may appear jagged.CAUSEThis behavior occurs when the following conditions are true: - You paste the chart as a linked Microsoft Excel Chart object.
-and- - You break the link of the Microsoft Excel Chart object.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, copy the Excel chart as a picture. To do this, follow these steps: - With the Excel chart selected, hold SHIFT, and then click Copy Picture on the Edit menu.
- In the Copy Picture dialog box, click As shown when printed, and then click OK.
- In Microsoft Word, on the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
- In the Paste Special dialog box, click Paste Link, click Picture, and then click OK.
