SYMPTOMS
When Outlook tries to update your published free/busy
information from your Outlook Calendar, you may receive the following error
message:
Unable to update public free/busy data. You do
not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. See
the folder contact or your system administrator.
Note that the second
and third sentences of this message may vary. This symptom may occur in some
rare circumstances when you experience network issues.
RESOLUTION
The purpose of this fix is to make it possible for you to
control the use of the "Unable to Update Public Free/Busy Data" dialog box when
network issues cause this problem. This fix adds a
Please do not show
me this dialog again check box to the dialog box that you receive. If
you click to select this check box, and then dismiss the dialog box, you will
no longer see the free/busy messages if they are encountered by Outlook during
background tasks. This setting does not affect free/busy errors that are
encountered by Outlook at other times such as when you quit Outlook. If it
must, Outlook updates free/busy information when it
quits.
