Xbox: You receive the "The copy failed" error message (816760)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to use your Xbox Memory Unit (MU), you may receive the following error message: The copy failed CAUSEThis error occurs when the MU is removed from the Xbox Controller before you complete the copy operation.THINGS TO TRY- Make sure that you firmly connect the controller to the Xbox console and that you firmly connect the quick release to the memory unit and to the controller.
- Try multiple controllers if you can to help you identify the defective device.
Note Do not remove the MU before a copy operation is complete. If you receive this error repeatedly, either the memory unit or the controller may be malfunctioning.
