    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Web Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003, Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003, Premium Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you connect to certain WRQ, Inc. Web sites such as http://www.wrq.com/partners/redist/ or http://www.wrq.com/howtobuy/reseller.html in Internet Explorer, the Web page is not displayed correctly. The Web page may be blank, or some of the functionality of the Web page may not work as expected. This behavior occurs even though the word "Done" is displayed in the status bar.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration feature is enabled. By default, this feature is enabled in Internet Explorer on Windows Server 2003-based computers.

Because of this enhanced level of security, certain Web sites may not be displayed as expected in Internet Explorer. Programs that require the browser may not work as expected because scripts, ActiveX controls, and downloads are disabled.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, add the WRQ Web site, http://www.wrq.com, to the Trusted Sites zone in Internet Explorer. To do this:
  1. Start Internet Explorer (if it is not already started).
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Under Select a Web content zone to specify its security settings, click Trusted sites, and then click Sites.
  5. In the Add this Web site to the zone box, type http://www.wrq.com, and then click Add.

The WRQ Web site is displayed in the Web sites list.
  6. Click Close, and then click OK.

MORE INFORMATION

The Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration feature configures a number of security settings that define how you browse Internet and intranet Web sites. The configuration also reduces the exposure of your server to Web sites that may pose a security risk. To visit a Web site that requires Internet Explorer functionality that is disabled by the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration feature, add that Web site to the Trusted sites zone in Internet Explorer.

For more information about Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration, see the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration Help topic. To do so, on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, start Internet Explorer, and then on the Help menu, click Enhanced Security Configuration.
