SUMMARYThis article describes automatic discovery support for Firewall clients and Web Proxy clients in Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server. You can manually configure a client to use a particular ISA Server computer by specifying the name or the IP address of the computer. However, for a mobile user, this address may not be correct. The Autodiscovery feature lets Web proxy and Firewall clients automatically discover the ISA Server computer. This feature lets a mobile user connect to the appropriate ISA Server computer even though the computer is not manually specified.
