The SQL Server Database Selection Window Does Not Open in the DCA (814881)



The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Database Configuration Application (DCA) in Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS), the SQL Server Login dialog box does not appear, and the DCA stops responding (hangs).

CAUSE

The versions of the computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server, of the client, and of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) are not synchronized.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, make sure that the versions are synchronized. For more information about how to determine versioning, see the "More Information" section.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

  • DTSUI.dll
  • SCM.exe
  • DTSRUN.exe
