Performance Degradation in Index Service After You Apply Windows 2000 SP3 (814667)

SYMPTOMS

After you apply Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), a performance degradation may occur in the Index Service where the Cisvc.exe process flushes the disk too much.

RESOLUTION

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
