SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Editions are intended for short-term testing and should not be used in production environments.

IMPORTANT: After installing SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition, it should be updated using the SQL Server 2000 Security Tools, which can be downloaded from the following Microsoft Web site:

http://microsoft.com/sql/downloads/securitytools.asp.

Any computer that is running a SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition must be kept in a test environment separate from network access.

If computers that are running a SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Edition are part of a corporate network, they must be taken offline and updated to released versions, with the appropriate security patches.
