FP2002: FrontPage Appears to Install But No Icon or Shortcut Is Installed and You Cannot Start FrontPage (813737)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2002

SYMPTOMS

You appear to have successfully installed FrontPage. However, when the Setup process has completed, no FrontPage icon or shortcut appears and you cannot start FrontPage.

This problem may occur when you upgrade from an earlier version of Microsoft Office (for example, Microsoft Office 2000) that you did not install FrontPage for (FrontPage was set to Not Available in the Setup program). When you try to install FrontPage 2002 by using the Typical setup, the setup information from the earlier version of Office is read by FrontPage 2002 and the same type of installation is performed.
