ActiveSync May Not Copy a File to a Device with a ROM-Only File System (813716)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE Platform Builder 4.1

SYMPTOMS

You might not be able to copy to the root a file that is larger than the Storage system memory setting. This problem occurs if:
  • Your device has a ROM-only file system mounted as the root.
  • The Windows folder is shadowed.
  • Your device has a hive-based registry.
This is a problem in the desktop Microsoft ActiveSync client; the problem is being worked around with a change in the operating system.

RESOLUTION
