OL2002: Problems If You Install Office 2000 Premium and Office XP Small Business Edition Is Already Installed (813519)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Send/Receive to send or receive e-mail messages after you install Microsoft Office 2000 Premium, you may receive the following error message :
Outlook.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you install Office 2000 Premium and Microsoft Office XP Small Business Edition is already installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:
  1. Remove Office 2000 Premium.
  2. Remove Office XP Small Business Edition.
  3. Install Office XP Small Business Edition, and then configure Outlook.
