Windows Media Player May Skip a "No Skip" Item in a .asx Playlist During Playback (813402)

SYMPTOMS

When you play your .asx playlist, Windows Media Player may skip an item. This problem may occur even if you select the noSkip="True" option in your playlist for this item.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Previous button is available even after you select the noSkip="True" option for the item.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
