Encoder Settings Are Lost When You Export Profile (813399)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 Series for Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 9 Series
SYMPTOMS When you export a profile after you create the profile in
Windows Media Encoder with non-default settings, the settings may be lost. For
example, you have non-default settings if you change the maximum packet
size.CAUSEThis issue occurs because the Maximum Packet Size setting is
designed as a session-level setting that is reset for each
session.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, set the Maximum Packet Size setting
for each new session, or do nothing to use the default setting for the session.
To change the Maximum Packet Size setting for your new session:
- In your Encoder project, click
Properties.
- On the Advanced tab, click Custom
under Maximum Packet Size.
- Type the Maximum Packet Size for your project in
bytes.
- Click Apply.
