PRB: The Reports That Are Generated By Storage Manager May Contain a Blank or Incorrect Server Name (813046)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Server Appliance Kit (SAK), version 2.01
  • Storage Manager for Server Appliances

SYMPTOMS

After generating a storage report, the server name in the first column of the report may either be blank or contain a random server name.

CAUSE

This issue occurs only if duplicate files or folders exist in the shares that the report was generated against.

RESOLUTION

This issue will be corrected in future releases of Microsoft Server Appliance Kit.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
