SYMPTOMSWhen you use Internet Explorer, you may receive the
following error message: The following application has
encountered a problem and needs to close. application name: iexplore.exe app
version: 6.0.2600.0 mod name: msctf.dll version 5.1.2600.0 Offset:
0001593f CAUSEThis issue may occur if Speech Recognition is turned on but
is not configured correctly.WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue:
- Click Start, click Control
Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language
Options.
- Click the Languages tab, and then click
Details.
- Click Speech Recognition, and then click
Remove.
- Click OK.
