Event 57 Appears in DHCP Server Audit Log Every Eight Minutes (812196)

SYMPTOMSWhen you view the audit logs after you enable daily audit
logging on your DHCP servers, the following event may be logged every eight
minutes for each registered DHCP server57,Date,Time,
Server found in our domain, IP Address,
DomainName where
Date is the date of the log,
Time is the time the event was logged,
IP Address is the IP address of the DHCP server, and
DomainName is your domain name.RESOLUTION A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows 2000 service pack 4
that contains this hotfix. To resolve this problem immediately, contact
