ActiveSync Error Message: Cannot Copy <filename>: Error Code 87 (811597)

SYMPTOMS

If you exceed the capacity of the target memory card, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot copy file name: Error code 87

CAUSE

The error message indicates that the storage card does not contain enough capacity to complete the copy and save process. This behavior occurs when an underlying system error message is over-written and is not displayed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, free up additional space on the storage card, or insert a new storage card and start the copy and save process again.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
