Resolution HTML Packager (REHTMLPackager.dll) Slows Down File Transfer (811328)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

The Resolution HTML Packager (REHTMLPackager.dll) filter may cause performance issues when you upload binary files to or download binary files from a Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) server. This performance impact also occurs on Web sites that MCMS does not manage on the MCMS server.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next MCMS 2001 service pack that contains this fix.
