The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Visio 2000 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Visio 2000 Professional Edition
- Microsoft Visio 2000 Technical Edition
- Microsoft Visio 2000 Enterprise Edition
SUMMARYWhen you click a menu command in Microsoft Visio or when you
try to access any of the menu commands by using a keyboard shortcut, Visio may
stop responding ("hang"). When this occurs, you must press CTRL+ALT+DEL, and
then use Task Manager to quit Visio.CAUSEThis behavior may occur if the following conditions are
true:
- Your computer uses a video adapter that is based on the
NVIDIA graphics chipset.
-and- - The NVIDIA video adapter driver uses the NVIDIA nView
Desktop Manager program.
-and- - The NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager program is preventing you
from accessing the menu commands correctly in Visio.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, quit the NVIDIA nView Desktop
Manager program, and then configure the program so that it does not start
automatically when your computer starts. For more information about how to do
this, see the program documentation or contact the manufacturer of your video
adapter.
