Third-Party DVD Players

When you try to use MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries, you may experience problems with third-party DVD players such as Maxi Gamer Xentor. For example, MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries may not start properly. This problem occurs because the opening movie is in Moving Pictures Experts Group (MPEG) format. To resolve this problem, contact your hardware manufacturer for information about updated software. If the updated software does not resolve the problem, remove the third-party DVD player.

Microsoft Windows NetMeeting and Hardware Acceleration Problems

When you try to use Windows NetMeeting or Remote Desktop Sharing, your computer may not have enough hardware acceleration to run MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries. This problem may also occur when Windows NetMeeting is shut down improperly.
