You May Receive Error 0x80190197 When You Use a Proxy Server with Software Update Services 1.0 (810062)

SYMPTOMS

When you synchronize components on Software Update Services by using a proxy server, you may receive the following error message:
Failed to download from URL 'http://www.msus.windowsupdate.com/msus/v1/aurtf.cab' error 0x80190197: HTTP error 407 Need proxy authentication. - Aurtf.cab

CAUSE

This error occurs if a response from a proxy server is too late. The receive time-out value is hard-coded at 60 seconds.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, update to Software Update Services 1.0 Service Pack 1. (SP1).

STATUS

This problem was first corrected in Software Update Services 1.0 Service Pack 1.
