The tables in the "More Information" section of this article list printers
commonly used with the Macintosh and their printable regions when printing
from Microsoft Word for the Macintosh. In some cases these printable
regions may vary from the regions specified by the printer manufacturer.
NOTE: With legal-sized paper, many printers will not print headers and
footers in Word unless Larger Print Area is chosen in Page Setup. This is
due to the standard Header/Footer settings in Word of .5 inches. Also, note
that some color printers, such as the QMS ColorScript and the Hewlett-
Packard (HP) PaintJet, have smaller printable areas and may not use the
default Header/Footer setting in Word to print the header or footer.
