SYMPTOMS

When you select Draft Quality Printing in the Print dialog box, your printout may be blank.

This occurs even when drawing, or other inserted objects display correctly on the screen in print preview.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, do the following.

Works 2.0 and 3.0

  1. From the File menu, click Printer Setup and make sure that the printer is set up for the highest graphic resolution or that Letter Quality is selected. Click OK to close this dialog box.
  2. From the File menu, click Print. If the Draft Quality Printing check box is selected, clear it and continue printing.

Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a for Windows 95

  1. On the File menu, click Print. Make sure the Draft Quality Printing check box is clear.
  2. In the Print window, click Properties.
  3. In the Properties window, click the Graphics tab and make sure that the printer is set up for the highest graphic resolution, or that Letter Quality is selected. Click OK and continue printing.
NOTE: Selecting Draft Quality Printing also can stop field lines and grid lines in a spreadsheet or database from printing in all versions of Works.
