Publisher Err Msg: Group File Creation Error (77643)

SUMMARY

Publisher 1.0 may issue the error message and hang if the MICROSOF.GRP file has become damaged during the current session of Windows. At this point, the machine must be rebooted.

Publisher has been properly installed, but is not available in any group in Program Manager. To add Publisher to an existing group, follow these steps:

1. Open the group window for the group you want to add to.
2. From the File menu, choose New.
3. Select Program Item and choose OK.
4. Type a description for the program item in the Description text box. For example, type:

   Microsoft Publisher

5. Press TAB to move to the Command Line box.
6. Type the path to the Publisher program. For example, type:

   C:\MSPUB\MSPUB.EXE

7. Choose OK.
