The Preview font appears in the Terminal program's Terminal Font list
(accessible by choosing Terminal Preferences from the Settings menu) if you
are running a Windows application (such as Microsoft Word for Windows or
Microsoft Excel) that uses the PREV.FON font file to display the Preview
font.
Terminal's list of fonts includes the Preview font only if another Windows
application such as Word for Windows or Excel is currently running or has
been started and closed prior to starting the Terminal program packaged
with Microsoft Windows version 3.0 or 3.0a.
This information applies to Microsoft Windows versions 3.0 and 3.0a.
This information does not apply to later versions of Windows.

Terminal listS the Preview font under the following conditions with Word or
Excel:
Excel
Prior to starting Terminal, Excel needs to be running or started and
then closed.
Word for Windows
Prior to starting Terminal, Word for Windows needs to be running or
started and then closed. You must choose Print Preview from the File
menu before closing Word or while Word is still active.
