Compiling Mac QuickBASIC Program with !Vaccine C_DEV Installed (40724)
This article was previously published under Q40724
SUMMARY
!Vaccine is a C_DEV that protects against the addition of resources
(such as a potential computer virus) to the resource fork of all
applications in the system. (A C_DEV is a device invoked as an icon in
the Control Panel in the Macintosh Apple menu.)
When the compiler in Macintosh QuickBASIC compiles a source file and
creates an application (a file with the extension .APL), it must add
resources to the resource fork of the generated application. !Vaccine
traps this and alerts you.
!Vaccine gives you the option of granting or denying permission for a
resource to be added to an application. To successfully create the
application, answer "Yes" to !Vaccine's inquiries.
