FIX: Window 1 or 7 Size Box Looks Incorrect in Compiled App (35324)

This article was previously published under Q35324

SYMPTOMS

In compiled programs, resizeable types of windows have incorrectly drawn "size boxes" in their lower-right corner. (The following window types have size (or "grow") boxes: 1, -1, 7, and -7, where 1 is the default type.) However, the problem is only cosmetic. The size boxes behave normally and successfully resize the windows.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in applications compiled with Microsoft QuickBasic version 1.00 and Basic Compiler version 1.00 for the Macintosh . The problem does not occur in the interpreter in QuickBasic 1.00.

This problem is corrected in QuickBasic version 1.00b.

The size-box icon normally appears as a small box overlaying a bigger box; however, in a compiled application, the small box is a few pixels larger than the standard.
