BUG: You Receive Error Messages If You Apply Microsoft Data Access Components Version 2.6 to a Computer That Is Running Windows NT 4.0 Microsoft Message Queue Server (331087)

SYMPTOMS

If you apply Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.6 to a computer that is running Windows NT 4.0 Microsoft Message Queue Server (MSMQ), you may receive c00e0013 errors with the following text:

'No connection with sites controller'

CAUSE

This error occurs because of a known bug in MDAC 2.6 that removes the username that is being passed to Microsoft SQL Server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install MDAC 2.6 Service Pack 1 (SP1). To download MDAC 2.6 SP1, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
