Domain box in the Terminal server logon screen is blank in Windows 2000 Server SP3 (329358)

After you install Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), the Domain box in the logon screen is blank when users log on to Terminal Services.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if a user is a member of a domain that is not recognized by Terminal Services. When this problem occurs in versions of Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 and earlier, the Domain box is populated with the domain that the Terminal server belongs to.
RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows 2000 service pack that contains this hotfix. To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix. When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, type a valid domain name in the Domain box when the logon screen appears.
