XCCC: Messages Are Stuck in the Outbox in Outlook 2002 SP2 Because the Spooler Encounters Entries That Do Not Have Corresponding Messages in the Outbox (328884)

This article was previously published under Q328884 SYMPTOMS If you use Microsoft Outlook 2002 Service Pack 2 (SP2) on
an Exchange 2000 server to send messages, those messages may remain in your
Outbox. This problem may occur if the In folders other than the Inbox,
save replies with original message check box is selected.
To
select the In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with original
message check box, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click E-mail Options on the Preferences tab. Click Advanced E-mail Options, and then click to select the In folders other than the
Inbox, save replies with original message check box. CAUSE This problem occurs because of a problem in the Exchange
2000 information store. This problem was exposed by a change in Outlook 2002
Service Pack (SP1). RESOLUTIONCumulative Patch InformationTo resolve this problem, obtain the March 2003 Exchange 2000
Server Post-Service Pack 3 (SP3) Rollup.
