• The Windows-level security that you are using to connect is different from what you expect. For example, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) uses IUSR_computername, not the account with which you log on to Windows or perhaps another account depending on how you configured IIS. The security context of the account that you are using may not have access to the computer on which SQL Server is installed.
• You are not using the correct protocol.
