- Microsoft Internet Information Server 5.0
This article was previously published under Q328138 Session SummaryThis WebCast will present the recommended steps to debug
an error that is specific to Web server components. The participants can expect
to take away enough basic knowledge to use the Debugging Tools for Windows tool
suite, which includes Autodump+ and the WinDbg debugging tool. Correct use of
these tools may speed up the resolution of straightforward issues if the Web
administrator is prepared in advance to provide Microsoft IIS Support
Professionals with the log files and the dump files that they must have to
identify why a Web server stops responding (hangs) or fails (crashes).
Additionally, the definitions of "hang" and "crash" will be discussed.
