An Access Violation Error Message Appears on Telnet.exe When You Try to Use Telnet Services with a Custom Script (326989)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use Telnet services with a custom script to connect to another computer, you may receive an access violation error message on the Telnet.exe file. Also, the default symbols in the Telnet Inbox may be incorrect.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
