How to switch from Deluxe Portfolio to Basic Portfolio (325971)

To switch from Deluxe Portfolio to the Basic Portfolio, follow these steps.

Note Back up all Portfolio data before you follow these steps.

Step 1: Change the Portfolio setting by using the Money Central Controls Web site

Part 1: Export cookies and delete temporary Internet files

1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. On the File menu, click Import and Export.
3. On the first page of the Import/Export Wizard, click Next.
4. Under Choose an action to perform, click Export Cookies, and then click Next.
5. Click Next, and then click Finish.
6. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
7. Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
   
   When you are prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
8. Click OK.

Part 2: Change the Portfolio setting

1. Visit the following MSN Web site:

   http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/controls/basic.asp

2. Click Use Basic Tools.
3. Click Basic Portfolio Manager.
4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to use the Basic Portfolio Manager.

Note If this does not resolve this issue, go to step 2.

Step 2: Change the Portfolio setting by using the Money Central Home page

Part 1: Delete temporary Internet files and cookies

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the File menu, click Import and Export.
3. On the first page of the Import/Export Wizard, click Next.
4. Under Choose an action to perform, click Export Cookies, and then click Next.
5. Click Next, and then click Finish.
6. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
7. Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files.
8. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
9. Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Cookies.
10. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer.

Part 2: Change the Portfolio Setting

1. Visit the following MSN Web site:

   http://moneycentral.msn.com

2. In the left pane, click Portfolio under Investing.
3. Sign in to the Microsoft Passport Network.
   
   When you are prompted, click Basic Portfolio.
4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to use the Basic Portfolio.
