In Word X for Mac, you cannot save your document in the Word 6.0/95 format. This option is not available in Word X for Mac.

To exchange files with Word 6.0 users, use either of the following methods.
Use the Word 5.1 Document Format to Save Documents
When you use the Word 5.1 format to save a document, other users can open the document in Word 6.0.
To save a document in the Word 5.1 format, click Save As on the File menu, click Word 5.1 for the Macintosh in the Format box, and then click Save.
Use the Word 97-X Converter to View Word X Documents
Distribute the Word 97-X Converter. The Word 97-X Converter permits Word 6.0 users to open documents created with Microsoft Word 97 and later.
