This article was previously published under Q325520 SYMPTOMSWhen you replicate recipient directory objects between
Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Server and Active Directory, you may find that the
Active Directory Connector (ADC) stops processing the Recipient Connection
Agreement, and events similar to the following are logged in the Application
log of Event Viewer: Event Type:
Warning Source: MSADC Category: (5) Event ID: 8033
Description: LDAP search result on directory
ServerName.ChildDomain.Company.com
for entry
'cn=User.Name,cn=RecipientsContainer,cn=Recipients,ou=OldSiteName,o=OrganizationName'
was unsuccessful with error:[0x1] Operations Error. (Connection Agreement
'Connection Agreement Name') Event Type: Error Source: MSADC Category: (1)
Event ID: 8146 Description: An operation on server
'ServerName.ChildDomain.Company.com'
returned [0x1] Operations Error. The Connection Agreement
'Connection Agreement Name' stopped.
CAUSEThis issue may occur if the Exchange 5.5 Server directory
database contains orphaned objects (for example, recipient containers) that
were deleted at a remote site. In this situation, the Active Directory
Connector assumes that the Exchange 5.5 Server directory database cannot be
accessed and stops processing the Connection Agreement. As a result, an
"Operations Error" is generated.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, remove the orphaned objects from the
Exchange 5.5 Server directory database.
