FIX: A Drillthrough on a Virtual Cube Returns an Empty Set (324978)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services

This article was previously published under Q324978
BUG #: 13464 (Plato7x)

SYMPTOMS

When a drillthrough request is run for a cell from a Virtual Cube, the drillthrough may return an empty set.

The symptom may be observed if all of the dimensions for the source cube that supplies the cell data are not included in the Virtual Cube.

If the SQL statement that is generated by the drillthrough request is captured by using SQL Profiler or Trace, the statement will have "(1=0)" as part of the WHERE clause for the SQL statement. This causes the statement to return the empty set.
